🚗You probably don’t know how many points you’ve lost! MyJPJ introduce demerit tracking before license suspension!

Transport Minister Anthony Loke revealed that by 2nd half of 2026, the KEJARA demerit point system will be integrated into the MyJPJ app. This means drivers can track their points in real time and get early warnings before their license is at risk of suspension.

MyJPJ was originally introduced to replace physical driving licenses and road tax stickers, but now it has evolved into a full-feature platform where you can renew your license, road tax, and even pay fines.

How many points before your license gets suspended?

Malaysia’s demerit system:

1st 20 points: Warning issued (P license holders = immediate suspension)

2nd 20 points: License suspended for 6–8 months (can reduce via training)

3rd 20 points: Suspended for 8–10 months

4th 20 points: Suspended for 10–12 months

5th 20 points: License revoked (must retake driving test)

If you get suspended 3 times within 5 years, your license will be revoked.
